You can cancel a pending invitation or remove an existing user from your organization. The behavior depends on the user’s current status.

If a user has not yet accepted their invitation, deleting them cancels the invitation entirely.
1

Navigate to Users

Click Users in the left sidebar.
2

Find the user

Locate the user with a Pending or Expired status.
3

Open the user

Click the user to open their detail page.
4

Click Delete

Click the Delete button in the top-right toolbar.
5

Confirm

Click Delete in the confirmation dialog. The user is removed from both the local database and SuperTokens.

Remove an Active User

Removing an active user deletes their account from both the local database and SuperTokens. This action cannot be undone.

2

Click Delete

Click the Delete button in the top-right toolbar.
3

Confirm

Click Delete in the confirmation dialog. The user is permanently removed from the system.

Disable a User

Instead of deleting, you can disable a user to prevent them from logging in while preserving their data.
1

Open the user

Click the user from the user list.
2

Click Edit

Click Edit to make the user’s fields editable.
3

Set status to Disabled

Change the Status field to Disabled.
4

Save

Click Save.
To re-enable a disabled user, follow the same steps and set the status back to Active.
Deleting a user is permanent and removes them from SuperTokens. They will not be able to log in again. If you only need to temporarily prevent access, use Disable instead.
You need the Delete user permission to delete users. You need the Update user permission to disable or re-enable a user.
