Options define the configurable variations of a product, like size and color for a t-shirt. Each option has a name and a set of values (labels).

Create

Option with inline values

Navigate to Catalog Options

Click Catalog in the left sidebar, then select Options.

Click Add Option

Click the Add Option button in the top-right toolbar.

Configure the option

Save

Click Save. The option and its values are created atomically.

Add values to an existing option

You can also add values to an existing option:

Open the option

Click the option from the list to open its detail page.

Go to the Values tab

Navigate to the Values section to see existing values.

Add a value

Click Add Value, enter the Label (1–255 characters), and click Save.
Values are managed through a separate sub-resource under each option. Deleting an option value requires the Delete option value permission.

Read

Open Catalog → Options to view all defined options. Each option shows:
  • Name: the option label
  • Values: a preview of the configured value labels
Click any option to open its detail page and see all values.

Update

Update the option name

Select an option

Click an option from the list to open its detail page.

Click Edit

Click the Edit button.

Modify the name

Update the option name (3–255 characters).

Click the option from the list.

Navigate to the Values section.

Edit a value

Click Edit on the value you want to change, update the label, and click Save.

Delete

Delete an option value

Open the option

Click the option from the list.

Delete the value

Click Delete on the value you want to remove, then confirm.

Delete an option

Click the Delete button in the top-right toolbar.

Confirm deletion

Click Delete in the confirmation dialog.
Deleting an option permanently removes it and all its values. Option values are cascade-deleted, so no manual cleanup is needed.
You need the Delete option permission to delete options. You need the Delete option value permission to delete individual values.
